Raining incredibly hard. Sheets. I'd tell you the temperature, but I can't see the thermometer from the window, as it's raining that hard.

Tons of rain everywhere and not a drop for the DFW Metroplex. Even if we did, it'll be a trace of it.

76 this morning was cooler than most after an inch of rain yesterday afternoon. Showers and storms expected again over this part of the county later today, but as the week progresses, models show drier air moving in to settle things down (and heat things up!).

Carwash business will get back in full swing when they finally take rain out of the forecast.

High today may make 98 or so! Cool by Phoenix standards.

Current heat index 102 and 50% chance of afternoon storms -- in other words, another typical SoFla August day!

We had some exellent evening for viewing the meteor shower. The days have been very humid and hot with scattered thunderstorms in the evenings. I'm ready for a little cool down.

Currently 88° (THI 98°)

Dew Point: 75° Humidity: 64%

A warm (rather than the usually refreshing) breeze off the ocean at 13 mph

Going up to 93 and "cooling off" to 79 tonight, with 50% chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms during the daytime

Add in the high UV number, and it's a good day to stay in air-conditioning until late afternoon and then get into the pool (if it's not thundering)! 8-)

Loud cracks of thunder about every 2-3 minutes. Otherwise, about 87 degrees. Quite cloudy and humid, but it's Houston, so what else is new?

At 10 a.m. it was 88° and partly cloudy. The THI is 100° already -- and heading up to 105. Thank you, Lord, for air-conditioning....

The forecast is for partly to mostly cloudy with a 40% chance of thunderstorms and a high of 94.

Tonight's "low" will be near 80.

It's my day off, so I'll be inside grading papers and doing laundry until the UV levels drop down enough in late afternoon for a quick swim.[/i]

How's the weather where I am?

Two words: hot and humid. Well, actually that was three, but I don't think "and" counts as a word.

Our high was forecast to be 98, and it was 101. Chance of rain was 30 percent, and the heat index was around 112. Ugh. Bring on fall.
