while I agree that this is likely to stay offshore, the GFS has again butchered the 500mb forecast, even after the dropsondes. The 12 hour forecast from last evening already had the ridge offshore, when it is clear that this is not the case based upon the obs. Still some chance to make a close pass to the Cape

That is not the scheduled flight, maybe a training mission. Maximum winds for that flight were 55 knots. The scheduled flight just sent this in:
