Local Mets just said,SC and NC are out of the woods and not to worry about it and have a very nice week ahead.

Heat at Home... Eyes On Irene

Hello, I'm Storm Team 9 Meteorologist Gannon Medwick. Fri-Sat will be hot and hazy - highs in the mid 90's (Fri PM heat advisory). T.S. Irene is hundreds of miles SE of NC and slowly strengthening. Several forecast models and the Nat'l Hurricane Center indicate a near-miss with Irene mid next week, but a more direct impact in E NC is still possible. Join us on 9 for the latest on Irene

Although things are looking better, they are not out of the woods yet. The 4-5 day track has a large margin of error and uncertainty. The NHC will be the first to tell you that.

she has decided to start moving back to the W....so SC and NC should be getting ready :eek:

Interseting to note the the 11am advisory graphic for TS wind probability puts me on the 10% line, and I live 45 miles west of DC! Definately a low-confidence forecast for now.
