I was focusing on the naked girls and didn't even notice.

Well, some of it's a bit coarse, but nothing that kids don't see on tv or hear at school every day anyway.

Sorry Duckie

stormie, I hope she does cancel. I would.
I don't make it a habit of subsidizing those who disagree with me no matter how wonderful they sound in doing so.

Why are you apologizing? :) Besides, J didn't say it, the pictures said it. I might be wrong (and the other mods can disagree and step up), but I'll allow it because 1) he asked, 2) it wasn't a member attacking a member, using that language, and 3) it drives home his point.

Actually i thought it pretty well disproved his point. The Dixie Chicks pointed out the classlessness of those who criticized them by making the comments made about them public.

Actually I think the picture shows how classless The Dixie Chicks are. They put their comments out there and then couldn't take the heat. So this is how the respond? I was not impressed in the least and have not listened to the Dixie Chicks since.

NOW, Toby Keith has had his share of criticism for being such a staunch patriot. How does he respond? By saying "that's unfortunate". That's class.

'Such a "patriot"', you mean. Spouting jingoistic phrases does not make one a true patriot. If he's such a patriot, why isn't he in the desert fighting this war?

lol - don't know. Next time I talk to him I'll ask!! But instead of bashing our president, he is out there sticking up for our troops. Me thinks that important.

I will never stand by someone who glorifies war.

If in some smothering dreams you too could pace
Behind the wagon that we flung him in,
And watch the white eyes writhing in his face,
His hanging face, like a devil's sick of sin;
If you could hear, at every jolt, the blood
Come gargling from the froth-corrupted lungs,
Obscene as cancer, bitter as the cud
Of vile, incurable sores on innocent tongues,
My friend, you would not tell with such high zest
To children ardent for some desperate glory,
The old Lie; Dulce et Decorum est
Pro patria mori.

He's taking advantage of patriotic sentiment to turn a buck. Admirable in a capitalistic sense, that's for sure.

It's unfortunate you feel that way!

But hey, let's support Mick and all his kids with how many different women?

nah, I hate the Rolling Stones. They're untalented old rock stars. But that's just my opinion. :)

And ugh, I hate all country music. It's just a bunch of twangy whining for the most part.

Give me a good metal band any day of the week!

Let's get real here. Just like The Chicks didn't need the money, neither did TK! They said what they mean and feel. TK's was supportive, the Chick's were hateful and showed no respect for those who fight and die for the freedom to mean lady outloud they abused so freely.... and when that wasn't enough, they added insult to injury with that photo. Classless total trash!

Let me guess though...Natalie and the rest of her semi naked band support our troops.

God and the soldier we adore
In time of danger - not before
The danger past and all things sighted
God is forgotten and the soldier slighted.

I'm sorry to hear that. :( Given how many liberals are in Hollywood and in the music industry, I'll bet you are missing out on an awful lot of good music and movies....

I, frankly, don't have the time to research the political leanings of my favorite actors & musicians. Most of my favorite songs have nothing to do with politics, and I would love them even if the artists that created them were atheist anarchists!

You know though stormie, I don't have a problem with a celebrity's politics until they start shoving it down my throat. When they begin going public with these types of things, then they should be ready for backlash.

And just so you know it's not just "celebrities" - I dated a guy from Milan, Italy, who thought it absolutely hysterical that I fly my flag everyday. He thinks patriotism is a waste. He thought if he prodded me enough I would take the flag down. Flag is still flying everyday, Alberto is history.
