Prayers needed and a lot of them :(

#1 Postby Josephine96 » Mon Aug 08, 2005 8:16 pm

as I just found out I am probably just a few hours maybe even minutes away from going through another tough loss..

About a year to a year and a 1/2 ago.. My mom and I befriended a young lady who was brought into the nursing home she was then staying in.

Michelle, who is just 35.. was a girl who at times acted like about a 5 year old. lol Not because she was mental.. but because she was a paranoid schizophrenic.

She also had numerous ailments because she had not 1 BUT 2 heart attacks in her 20's.. and has had numerous reconstructive surgeries on her insides because she can't properly digest her food.

This sweet, and at times feisty young woman who was engaged to be married.. is about to die! She was such a sweetheart.. and I'll even be openly honest and say that I along with my Mom really came to love her as a person..

This is not hitting me too hard yet.. But Mom has asked me {actually Michelle's fiance and her fiances' roomie have asked Mom {who was also asked} who asked me} to attend her funeral. Her arrangments have already been made as she is probably on her deathbed.

Although 1 thing about her makes me proud.. She has told me and she also told her fiancee both.. She is not afraid to die. She knows exactly where she's going when she dies.

I am sure she's going to die peacefully.. she's been through 1 hell of a fight.. But sadly.. it looks like she's going to lose the battle. At least God will win the war because he'll accept her into Heaven when she dies

Please pray for Michelle, Michelle's Mom, Her fiancee Jeff, Jeff's friend Matt {who has helped Jeff take care of Michelle} and also pray for Mom and I.. We were probably her 2 closest friends even though she only knew us both about a year..

This is hitting me a little softly right now.. But I know it'll only be a little more painful as the process proceeds

RIP Michelle Moriarty.. 1970-2005

So very, very sorry, John. ((((HUG))))

Prayers and thoughts sent to this very courageous young lady named Michelle, her Mom, Jeff and Matt and to any other family members and friends.

May God Bless Them All,

Eric

1 of the saddest things about Michelle as well.. is that even at 35.. she probably had the physique of a very young teenage girl..

She'd look decent for a teenager.. But because of her reconstructive surgeries and ability or lack their of to digest her food.. She has widdled down to nothing..

I could probably pick her up with my own 2 hands.. She's only about 75-80 pounds..

But.. In a way.. I'm not "happy" she's gonna die.. But at least it'll end her suffering..

I'm so sorry for you, John. As a caring and thoughtful person, you have become an important part of this young lady's life. My positive thoughts for peace and strength are going out to you, your mom, Michelle, her fiance, and her other close ones.

Just a guess...but she probaby has to take some enzyme pills in helping with food digestion, too.

I do ever since having hypoglycemia (borderline diabetic)
and because my pancreas doesn't function normally like it had before my hypoglycemia diagnosis.

Thanks for the prayers all.. Tomorrow will be an interesting day at work with all this on my mind..

Plus my mom hasn't heard from my sister in 3 weeks when she moved to freaking Canada lol..

Seems like everytime I turn around.. someone who I knew or was close too dies..

Lets' see.. My dad was 1st, then a good friend 3 months later.. then another friend of mine {who I'm more angry than sad of him being dead} then Jessica, then Coach Ridenour, and now Michelle..

Plus 2 girls I've become close too in my church have Cystic Fibrosis.. They're ok now.. But I know they won't live forever..

I thought I'd give you an update on this..

The update is.. I'm going with the "No news is good news" philosophy.. I think that's how the saying goes lol..

I haven't heard anything.. But I'm hoping and praying that means she's still hanging on.. Maybe even improved a little bit and still has some more fight left in her..

I'll keep ya'll updated on what happens.. especially if I hear any breaking developments {breaking developments wouldn't be too good though :sad: }
