Me too....I visited them once, in 1993, 8 months after the bombing.
And I still gasp outloud when I see the Twin Towers, in movies or TV show backdrops.
My daughter recently recorded Home Alone 2, Lost in NYC. I had forgotten young main character Kevin McAllister visits the WTC and is filmed atop the outside observation deck. At one time I had heard there was a push to remove scenes or footage of the WTC but now I'm glad they left them in.
We need to see the WTC, for years to come. Personally, it helps me come to terms with that awful day. Sometimes you imagine it was all a bad dream but it's also comforting, when they're mentioned in movies or shown in them.
I wouldn't have said the TWC were my favorites though. Probably the Statue of Liberty, the St. Louis Arch (never been there) or the Seattle Space Needle (never been there either) are very majestic to me.
