There is some slight rotation on the MLB radar..not much precip associated with that spin.

Interesting, none the less.

Looks better than TD9.

Winds are calm along the east coast, and pressures are high.

Doesn't appear to be surface based.

NWS Melbourne is calling it a Potent Mid Level Vortex. It does look pretty interesting on satellite.

They also go on to say in their discussion that it is complicating their forecast today!

Laugh if you must, but we have some nasty storms developing on what would be the southernmost bands. I've got thunder all around me.

Same here up around the Village Blvd area. Yesterday eveningss storms were quite scary...the lightening was non stop and the thunder seemed to roll on for minutes at a time.

I've sat through more than my fair share of soaking wet concerts at Coral Sky...makes the lawn a lot of fun...but you know, once you get wet there ain't nothing to do but enjoy...hopefully the storms will run themselves dry before showtime.

The lightening both last night, and right now, is amazing. Last night was spectacular, for a LONG time! I sat at the office watching out my window... what a light show!

Hey, I sat through two lightning storms at Coral Sky for Def Leppard a couple years back. I think I earned my concert Badge of Honor that evening.

Been constant thunder here in east Boca but its been virtually dry...basically not so bad. A bolt hit about 500 feet away though, not sure what happened.The rain over in west Boca looks frightening though.

The center of circulation appears to be off Daytona beach.
Buoy 41012 near that location showed a small pressure drop earlier but it looks mostly diurnal.

Real juicy with lots of showers out in the gulf where there has been a circulation near Mobile bay.
Won't be much development until we see pressure drops down below 1012 MB's though.

You know what? Our local WRAL station has it's own model that they show during thier forecasts, and this morning it showed a tropical system approaching the NC/SC line by tues or so. They did not make a peep as to what the heck it was. It could not have been TD9. It does not look like anything to me except it has nice outflow.
