2004 bad in US but look!!

#1 Postby LSU2001 » Wed Aug 03, 2005 9:17 am

Check out these photos from last years canes as they marched through the carib. and US. Ivan's photos are truly horrific. I know we got it bad in the US last year but the islands really caught it.

Amazing pics. Although it was bad in the U.S., I don't think anywhere got hit as hard as Greneda from Ivan.

Didn't the Cayman Islands experience Category 4/5 conditions?

I heard a weather station there recorded a sustained wind of 150 mph.

About the Ohio pics... they published a book called Unforgiving Waters- The Flood of 2004. It has hundreds of pictures in it from the flood. Nothing compared to what the islands got though.

yeah,

what happened at Cayman showed that Ivan in the USA cannot compare to Ivan there. Ivan leveled Cayman, which is actually built to the same or stronger standard as is South Florida

Thanks for the pics. Those pics really show how bad Ivan was for the islands.

And the one picture from Florida where the guy is in front of what was his house and he is on the ground crying really got to me.
