We are in serious trouble if these reports pan out by the
NOAA. Also, if Dr. Gray ups his report, then I think the worst of this season is upon us. I don't mean to sound dark, but I have a bad feeling about this and the report. I mean you could draw whatever conclusion you want or you can lessen the effects of the report, but the report is what it is, and that is what freightens me the most. I told my wife that if we get hit by mor canes here in Florida, my happy arse is outta here and moving back to Cali... THOUGHTS WELCOME...

First of all these aren't "reports", its a forecast, a prediction, an educated guess. We have no way of knowing. I think if you say "well we have had an active June in July so we must have an active latter part of the season", is not going to hold water. There are many examples of early activity and relatively quiet late seasons and vice versa. I could also say we've had just one hurricane a month so far, so we will only have 6 this season, which is full of holes as well. We just dont know until it all plays out. I would love to not see another storm....

lets see 14 more storms, hmm, there is a good possibility that Tampa's time has run, and most of the buildings in downtown are made of glass..
Low lying and flood prone too. Wouldn't be pretty

I hope not
I won't be here if anything more than Cat 2 comes. I'm all of 16 feet above sea level, and maybe a mile from the bayshore. I think Tampa's luck will hold even through this season. We've somehow got an ideal spot

I don't know what some peoples problems are but Florida is not the only
state affected by hurricanes, some of you act like there are signs planted in the ocean giving direction ie. turn left at next buoy. My God, yes Florida was hit pretty darn hard a last year, and will more than likely have another one come your way, but was about TX, neworleans, Alabama??? God forbid one hit NO, a major cane would take them OUT!!..so much focus on florida and people forget the impact on other towns, cities and states, hell, I was waist deep in water when our Mayor got on national TV and said all was fine because her dry arse was home and she wasn't experiencing any problems, My Word...I'd almost be some of you to be casters because you enjoy the attention.

True, but I would not say from New England to Mexico. When is the last time a cane hit the New England area? The only one I can remember was Bob in 91. True, the SST'S are a lot warmer, but I'd say the danger area is Tx to NC and all connecting states inland. REMEMBER A CANE JUST DOESN'T STOP AT THOSE CITIES. IT GOES FURTHER INLAND..

I would say everyone on the East coast and on the GOM coasts, because hurricanes go WELL inland, most of the time all the way to Canada...
