O.K. this is stupid I know but I really wanted to get a thread in so that strickly (sort of) the rest of you can voice your opinion on what the season has done so far and what you expect from it now.

You know I should have donet this at that beginning of the storm season and then in the middle I couple put a post up so that every one could see what they thought at the beggining.

I know this has been done ( I think) so far

we have had
Tropical Waves = To many to count
Tropical Invests = You tell me
Tropical Depressions = 11
Tropical Storms = 10
Catigory 1 = 3
Catigory 2 = 2
Catigory 3 = 2
Catigory 4 = 2
Catigory 5 = 0

Those where the stacked results now the actual

Tropical Depressions = 1
Tropical Storms = 7
Catigory 1 = 1
Catigory 2 = 0
Catigory 3 = 0
Catigory 4 = 2
Catigory 5 = 0[/img]

whats even more interesting is that every single TD that formed this season has become a named storm. The last time every single TD became a named storm was 1996 so it doesnt happen alot. Id like to see that happen once again this year just for heck.

oh ya and has anyone been counting/keeping track of the invests that we have had?

you know what they should do have 5 main maps for each season
one for the hurricanes, TSs, and TDs

one for the waves lol

one for the invests

one for the waves and invests combined

and one for all of them

lol that would be informative and give you an idea of the actual activity of the season.

is it an active season even though you barley had any hurricanes TDs TSs but there where a heck of a lot of waves and invests that formed

I would think there have been 15 invests this year. They start at 90, go through 99, then go back to 90. If we're at 94L currently, then the number of invests has to end with a 5 (either 5, 15, 25, etc.) 15 seems like the logical number to me.

Well, for what it's worth, 1996 was the second most recent year for every depression to become a named storm.

Regardless, you point that it doesn't happen a lot is true... it doesn't.

:D

I think we will have 3 Tropical Storms
2 cat 2 Hurricanes
1 cat 3 Hurricane
1 cat 4 Hurricane
1 cat 5 Hurricane

But we need 22-27 to beat the record though it would be cool just to tie it but it would be even cooler if we break it
