Not a cloud in the sky. Lowest humidity we've had in Houston for at least 2 months. F0r 99 degrees, surprisingly comfortable!

At Boynton Beach (coastal South Palm Beach County): Sunny morning, very light breeze, current temp 88 (THI 99) going up to 93; isolated thunderstorms in the afternoon (the usual summertime "big boomers") -- it's my day off, my car's in for maintenance, I've got papers to grade, and my pool is quite inviting...!

Alert the Press - it's raining in Cincinnati!

It's been a very hot, extremely dry summer. I can actually look out my window and see puddles. Birds are going crazy, taking baths. Cute to watch. Makes you want to run out in the rain, w/o an umbrella.

That's the big news here - heat wave broke and it's really raining!

And oh, I'm wearing jeans today. No shorts - you know the heat wave broke if I'm wearing pants!!!! That sounds kinda funny....LOL

Yesterday it was more of the same - high of 96 and thunderstorms. We had some storms develop over us after 4:30 and boy did it POUR!! It did cool it down somewhat initially - to 90 degrees!

Today it is cooler and alittle drier, but we still need the air.

We've been fortunate this summer in one respect. We've had about 22 days of over 90 degree weather, but we have had rain. We'd be in deep doo-doo if we didn't - kind of like how it is in the Mid West where Miss Mary is right now.

It's more of the same this week. Hot weather with storms hitting everywhere but here.

It did cool down from near 100 to the 80s.
