NWS Melbourne talks about the ULL moving across south Florida and into the Gulf over the weekend. With any luck it will bring some rain to the east coast of the state.

I have been tracking that for at least 5 days. There is a nice little TW under that ball of convection.

Others would bash me for this but I would definitely welcome a little bit of rain down here in S.Fla right about now.

Okay I think I just got my answer to my topic about what was confusing me. Thank goodness I am not losing my mind.

I won't bash you for that. My garden is begging for rain, even in the form of a Tropical Storm!

Want to send you some rain your way from my side of the Gulf. We have been having some decent afternoon showers which water a little and let it cool down just a bit.

I just noticed the nice flareup in the Bahamas. Could be something to watch if it gets into the gulf IMO. We could use the rain, send it this way please!

SATELLITE IMAGES INDICATE THAT CLOUDINESS AND SHOWERS HAVE INCREASED
IN CENTRAL BAHAMAS. THIS ACTIVITY IS ASSOCIATED WITH A WESTWARD
MOVING TROPICAL WAVE AND AN UPPER-LEVEL LOW. SURFACE PRESSURES ARE
HIGH AND THERE ARE NO SIGNS OF SURFACE CIRCULATION. FURTHER
DEVELOPMENT... IF ANY...WILL BE SLOW TO OCCUR.

That's not a wave in the Bahamas - that's convection associated with an
upper level low just west of the Bahamas. Check the water vapor images:

http://www.ssd.noaa.gov/PS/TROP/DATA/RT ... -loop.html

The NHC has not referred to this as a wave until today.

I did read the 10:30am NHC outlook. I was referring to the wave east of the Bahamas. So next time do I need to be more detailed for your benefit and say "the wave east of the bahamas and the upper low"?

I'm actually confused by the NHC on this - they have not referenced a wave in that area to date - then at the TWO today, BAM "there's a wave".
