#1 Postby DESTRUCTION5 » Fri Jul 22, 2005 7:40 pm

Franklin is going to be the 1st storm not to make an impact on the US...Well the law of averages said it was time for a recurver and franklin is well on his way to bug the shipping interests..

Interesting to me is that a trough actually has a chance to push this thing out, seems odd for mid July for it to be digging down so far.

Let me ask you a question. Has anything really been normal about this season?

Absolutely. According to records kept by the Seminoles in 1573 A.D....

Uh, well, never mind.

It hasn't been normal by any stretch. And the METEOSAT photo I just saw might indicate the start of the CV season at full throttle next week.....

CV = Cape Verde. The CV season is when waves that come off Africa stand a better chance of developing as they move across the Atlantic.

CV means Cape Verde Islands and systems that develop east of 40w are considered Cape Verde Season systems.
