For my 3,000th post

#1 Postby dhweather » Sun Jul 24, 2005 2:43 pm

I'd like to say a few things

- Storm2k is a GREAT PLACE for weather fans

- I sincerely want to thank everyone that has donated to storm2k - that
is greatly appreciated by many!!

- 2005 will be the new benchmark season, replacing 1995 and others

- The heat along the gulf coast is ungodly right now, which is making it
brutally hot and unbearable outside. That's also heating the GOM right on
back up after all of the activity in the last month.

right now, it's 98.4 degrees, with a heat index of 117. Today is not a day to do anything outside.

http://www.diamondheadweather.com/live.html

With that said, I'm off to the next benchmark, which will be 4,000 posts.
The 2005 season will help me get there rather fast.

No way, we need all the greats posts that Cycloneye provides us. When I don't see him posting for a day or two, I begin to panic!

You got there quick, but you'll never top Josephine for "explosive development". That dude (? right?) was posting at a 500 / week rate last season.

Not to be a party-pooper, but the quality of posts is more important than the quantity. For example, nearly every one of Cycloneye's posts are posts of substance. JMO

David's posts are usually very informative, as well. Congratulations on your 3000 posts and on your nomination for MOTM, dhweather :D
