Nice to meet you. I wish I had known about this board long time ago. Most certainly this would have been so useful during all the storms last year.It is great to have a place where you can talk with other posters about severe weather.

I am very very old....anyone remember when we were nomads running from the bad, bickering trolls? heheheh We had the secret password to get into private rooms to discuss weather troll-free...hmm I think it was Hostess Twinkys or something like that.....this forum has come a long long way! Hats off to those who made it what it is today.... I do miss the days when Gator and i used to write those stupid stories and try to out due eachother is outrageous antics during the off season....*sigh* I don't know if anyone else goes that far back MF does though....I went through a split personality phase and became Ruby for a while....then recovered and became me again hehehhehe...I also miss our BBQ's and margarita parties we used to have.....i guess I miss some of the silliness that provided stress relief.... But without a doubt this board has held to a level of integrity and responsiblity to help and provide valuable information that is above and beyond...We should all be proud to be part of such a wonderful family. :) *standing ovation*

I used to (and still do, albeit much less now) post alot at TWC's tropics boards, met alot of cool and interesting people (MGC, Brent, rainstorm, Sanibel come to mind, I'm sure others) and as usually does when the season gets active, that board goes retarded. Its unmoderated to say the least, anarchy would be more dead on, which I'm not all against, however it gets childish really fast. So finally one day I was noticing people disappear from time to time, and I finally asked, where the heck are you people going when you aren't posting here. It was like some big secret, like you couldn't mention any other boards over there, and maybe thats the case here too, but oh well, heh. Finally I think someone emailed me, I forget who. I've been here ever since. I still go to the darkside, my compadres nohope and dk777 make some of the most humorous posts I have ever read, weather related anyway, and I've joined in their fun, however never can do it as well as they do. If I could invite some folks over I would like to see Frank2, NEXRAD, and Rashid come this way, but hey, maybe they are already here....hrmmmmmm

cheers,
loon

Huricane Isabel

Found this site through an internet search while looking for info on Hurricane Isabel. It was an incredible resource as we on the east coast nervously watched her heading straight for us.
