Well, as much as I hate to do without the computer for a few days, I must sacrifice. This time tomorrow evening, I'll be kicked back in the Margaritaville in Key West. The hurricane gods have granted my wishes, and it looks like some awesome weather for my week long exodus from the real world.
Got my essentials packed: sandals, some worn-out shorts, tank tops, sunglasses, and some fishing rods.
For those in southern Texas, I will be trying my hardest to steer the bad weather away from you guys. Everyone on the board have fun, don't get too cross-eyed staring at the threads, and I'll toss back a rum in paradise for ya!

pojo wrote:Key West is awesome... stop at Blue Heaven Rendezous for a meal during the time your there... watch out for the chickens. there is a cuban place to eat at also... unfortunately, I don't remember the name.
Its should be Hemingway Days pretty soon.. stop at Captain Tony's.
Ah yes, chickens, a couple of cats laying around, dirt floors, and one of the first places I am heading to! I don't know if the cuban place you are referring to is B's Cuban Restaurant or not. I heard B's is now closed which is a shame. I haven't been to Captain Tony's, so I will put that on the list.
Getting ready to pull out of the driveway shortly. Thanks guys, and have a good one...............Dave.

Wow, got back, checked things out, and the tropics haven't slowed down. I will have to admit it was a surprise, since I didn't listen to the radio or look at a paper while in Key West.
I hated to come back, but oh well, had to get back to the real world. Had a great time, snorkeling, fishing, eating too much, and for some reason, I had headaches in the morning (still trying to figure out what that was from

Key West is a 'slow pace' town.. you follow the sun, if you haven't noticed... NO ONE wears a watch. I wonder where you received the head aches from every morning... um, were you doing the Duval Crawl? Catch the sunset at Mallory? That is an awesome spectacule if you get a chance to see it... Right over Sunset Key.
