don't think i could handle those sorts of temps for very long.

saying that though the early August heatwave in Europe(and including England)did see temps into the 90's for 7 days in a row(considering our average summer temp nowdays is about 70-80F)and on August 10th we saw our first ever 100F,which was amazingly hot, enough more so when coupled with high amounts of humidty, horrid!!!!

france as even higher, over 100F if I remmeber correctly

He won't even be thinking about you at SoBe. He'll be too busy figuring out which credit card is better for scraping ice off his windshield. That is, unless his car is buried under six feet of snow.

Still wanna talk weather smack there, Packer boy?

Haha, I'd much rather live in Wisconsin than Florida......I personally hate hot weather and love cold weather, so I guess this is a good state for me.

Temperature (ºF) 96.6
Humidity (%) 55.7

Heat Index: 114.7 ºF ºF

From the school up the street via weatherbug.

Way more humid than normal - we had a tiny bit of rain this am makin it muggy now. Guess if not for the humidity it would truly be 100+.

No heat warnings out - guess they save em for 115F now...

'shana

it's getting hotter as I am typing...sun came out!

We have had the heat advisories for several days here in NE Louisiana as well. Just finished several hours of yard work at one of our shops and man, its pool time. (We'll fire up the grill just before sunset.....)

In Burlington Vermont right now, it's sunny, 77 °F, and the dewpoint is 52 °F.

I had to close my door earlier, too much of a crossbreeze in here.

Hope you guys living in paradise are enjoying your summers

yeah thats cool. i went to NY last december for vacation with my brother and my dad's sister who lives in Holland. My brother and I have lived in a tropical climate all our lives and when we went to NY it was below 30F every single day and he was perfectly normal and I was freezing my butt off and was like how can he be normal in this weather? I honestly thought I was gonna die in that tundra. I guess he just loves the cold weather more then I do. And besides you may be right about this hot weather. The price we have to pay here for living in tropical paradise is often dealing with hurricanes so it does have its drawbacks. But at least we got the beaches with all the hot chicks. Shaboing! lol j/k 8-)

that's okay... as a child, i remember one july in portland, maine that the temp was in the upper 90's and low 100's for several days. we had no a/c up there. so, we'd pack up and head to sebago lake. that was all you could do to cool down. even staying in the basement wasn't cool enough! then, one sunday morning, we went into church and it was already in the mid-80s. when we came out, we'd had a seaturn, as my mom (the native yankee!) called it. the temp had dropped into the 60's! that was nice, but winters up there are decidedly not nice. hot weather or no, i am glad to be back in the south!

I heard big thunderstorms about 30 miles north of the Tampa bay area in florida this afternoon.
The thunderstorm line seems to be retreating back north this evening so maybe high pressure is starting to build back in from the south.
Would have been nice if that dry mid west air had driven a little further south.
