If you go for a good 6-10 hours you will find a surprise because when you come back into the forum you will be greeted by a new system. :)

Holy crap! I wasn't expecting that system to develop at all honestly, I wrote it off a night or two ago. Holy cow, 7 systems, before august 1st.

You better go ahead and get the sleep now... Before all He double hockey sticks, breaks loose in August and September.. We knew it was going to be busy, but who would have thought this... And all of us were upset with Chris Landsea when he said there was a better than 60% chance of an El Nino developing...

Good job there... lol...

Yes I remember that interview and I admit that I was somewhat down that night. But after that in a few days the data showed no el nino around. And then the gates opened very early one after another until today with system #7 and we are still in July. That is why I made this thread about members not going away from forum for a long time because you may find a new system posted at forum. :)

Well .. I just got back after being away to Alaska and Canada for almost two weeks. When I left, Emily was still a potential threat to Florida and there were two other blobs behind her in the eastern Atlantic. I did hear what happened to Emily, although nothing regarding the extent of damage. I never heard what happened to the other two blobs. Is one of them now Franklin?

I found out how little Canadians regard weather in the U.S. I found a Canadian version of TWC. They hardly acknowledge that there is a country to their south, so trying to get Cane updates was frustrating! And CNN, as usual, was useless! They were too busy interviewing Anita Hill, as an "expert," on Bush's Supreme Court nominee!

So .. fill me in!

and then we have those two waves that are currently crossing the atlantic,I'd bet at least one of those will become a named storm,if not the pair of them, that'll be the I letter if that occurs...by very early August!!!!

Which is somewhat disconcerting to me. I remember going asleep at 11 a.m. the morning Charley was just south of us heading towards Sanibel Island. Just after 1 p.m. I woke up from my nap and it went from a Cat 2 to a Cat 4. Needless to say, I was somewhat shocked.

Will this be the year (God I hope not) that people go to sleep in their homes thinking that it's only going to be a Cat 2 and wake up to a Cat 5? It's food for thought as we head into the busy months. Sadly, after all the hype from the Mainstream Media with their reporters standing outside weathering 2s and 3s, I fear some people will have forgotten Andrew and the complete and utter devestation. I remember going down there to deliver water two weeks after the storm. And it was horrific.

I fear we'll see another or worse this season, the question now is where.
