I had the pleasure of meeting Franklin(the foecaster) a couple years ago at the Hurricane conference here in Houston. I figured if he got a chance something like what he did would happen. He was definitely an easygoing, yet intense about the forecasting and tropics person. At least that was my impression during out conversations.
