Emily News Reports

#1 Postby sprinklerman » Fri Jul 22, 2005 1:11 pm

Sometimes the media is so irresponsible with their reporting. I was driving back from San Antonio,TX Wednesday morning and had the radio on a local AM station. Don't remember the name but on the half hour they had a national news report from SRN. I think that stands for State Radio Network. Anyway, their reports from about 8:00AM until I lost the signal around 10:00AM about Emily kept saying that she was moving NW west as a category 3 storm and was approaching the Brownsville area and was expected to reach category 4 status. This was all being reported after Emily had come ashore 80 miles south of Brownsville. Can you imagine someone waking up in the South Texas area and tuning in and hearing that report. It amazed me that it was never corrected. I will say this, when the local news came on they gave the correct information.
