Although some talk it that Franklin will be a fish. Not so fast...the track may not be out to sea, but rather, a turn back west as the ridge builds in?

I agree, it's falling apart. I would not be surprised if it's declassified but hangs around for a few days and we get Franklin part 2 over the weekend after SW Carib moves out of the way. I'm more concerned with it all of a sudden.

No loop in the 11pm forecast. Not exactly hauling a-- for the deep blue sea, either, but they took out the loop at least.

Also, everyone keeps saying "no loop this time".

I think Floyd's point was no loop in next five days does not = no loop.

Ok, I just noticed he's using the latest track. Still, obviously, the NHC isn't all that confident.

I must say, the only cover by which i'm judging this "book" is how absolutely horrid Franklin looks on infrared. It's amusing. Almost a swirl of clouds!

I just came back from the Caribbean shot. That disturbance has excellent form - be it with no convection...

Anyways, big Floydbuster fan - the shows he does are killer. Darn my crappy dial-up at home.

Okay, so what's the deal about a possible loop? Jeanne did the exact same thing - was it modeled or predicted or even guessed at? Just curious.

Our local guy was just on, getting all smug about how "Franklin isn't much of a storm". HMMM - earlier he was pretty :eek:

with his graphics showing the tight looping.

There actually were predictions with regard to Hurricane Jeanne last year that she would make a loop.

It's still looping. They just don't show it in the graphics.
