*NEW* July 21 Tropical Video Update

90L has a chance IMO, the sw carb does not. It will spend too much time over Cent/Amer and then move into the BofC and then into MEX, possibly near Emily.

NHC thinks SW Carribean does have a chance. They mention it entering the BOC and possibly developing later.

Nice iguana! Sort of concerned about an Erin scenario but further south and west as you indicated in your discussion.

Hmmmmm. Pretty bold statement there. How many storms have formed in the BOC or Southern GOM? Opal comes to mind.

heck both Alicia and TS Allison developed really close to shore. Alicia became a cat. 3.

Looking like it may curve away from Florida. Looking at the satellite it seems to be moving more nnw now. :roll: Recon will help determine whats going on.

Enjoyed it Mike. The shot if 90L getting caught in place or crawling is there too though. I probably would have included that. But it's too early in the game to know for certain, and you did a good job of discussing the possibilities.

As what, an inverted trough/tropical wave? I don't have a handle on it other than to see that the upper trof on its western side is backing across southern Mexico, and the pattern should reverse allowing an upper high to build atop whatever is down there. To me, it looks like it's got a shot at /something/, just not sure what the something might be.

I agree it has turned more NW. It will be a close call for Florida regardless.
