This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

Looks like the clouds are moving W or WNW. All the discussion says N.

Remember when Toto pulled the curtains in Wizard of Oz and the Wizard tells you to "Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain." That's what the discussions are often like. People living in a certain area will find anything they can get their hands on to say a storm is moving toward them or will be affecting them. People in other areas will find and discuss anything contrary to that. I call it state casting [tm] and only pay attention to those who say stuff that doesn't conform to statecasting principles. :)

Huh? So the NHC is not telling the truth as to the WNW movement of 90L?

If the NHC says it's moving WNW it's moving WNW and satellite pictures confirm that...

No. Not the NHC. I believe in those dudes. I'm talking about the discussions among posters who have vested interests ;).

Yesterday, it was centered near 22N/71W, today it is near 24.5N/75W. That's a movement to 311 degrees, which is NW. Sure looks like NW to me.

Was just looking at the radar. While it looked rather impressive this morning, it looks like it's losing strength/cohesion at this time.

Being in Ft. L, I'm hoping it falls apart. ;)
