Some members that are here are still on that board. I thought that forum was gone.

When I started on Storm2k around 1998, I found the Storm2k link of that site. I still use it, with its new name. I love the layout and satellite images.

I started there too in 97 to 2000. I think this whole board started over there at one point.

I started there a while back, but there always seemed to be problems with the message board if I remember correctly.

I started there, even won a free t-shirt but then they decided to change the format of the board and after many protests by the members they left in droves and came here. There were classic posts by SNE who said everything was coming to new england and DT would go at it with a couple of guys.

I was one of those who started out on storm97.com and left when they changed the format. I actually liked that delayed chat room. Some people I chatted with was Hurricane Bertha, Hurr.Mike, Fear of Dial Soap, Jim W. and Dan to name a few. The weird thing is that I can remember other peoples nick names but I cannot remember what mine was!. Anyway, no other Tropical/Hurricane forum even comes close to S2K, glad I found this one!.

I was part of the mass exodus from there in '03 when right at the peak of hurricane season, they tinkered with the board and things got messed up.

(I'm sure they eventually got things straightened out but I'm staying here!) 8-)

I started on that board too. And yes, got a teeshirt from 2000. Seems like a long time ago. I remember Pauk well and loved his dooms day predictions. The all time funniest poster on that board was cyclo somebody who defying death flew into hurricanes dropping tampex to absorb the moisture. Unfortunately he was shot down by a Cuban mig during one sortie and the whole weather board posted messages to get him out of Castro's prison. I don't think anything funnier has ever been posted on the board. I'm sure some of you in here remember the whole episode.

I started there too! The funniest thing I remember was a make-shift model map someone made at the end of one season with all of the prominent "w*shcasters" favorite strikes. That was funny! Then things got really ugly, and everyone came over here..been mostly lurking in the corner since!
