Prayers please

#1 Postby Meso » Wed Jul 20, 2005 3:44 pm

Hi

I found out at 17:00 today (Gmt +2:00) that my dad died at 15:30... He had small lung problems and was in for a something small, and while in hospital he got a blood clot and died. Although my parents are divorced, my dad had recently got remarried and he left behind me, and my sister.. my mom also seemed pretty devistated. I had never really considerd what it would be like to lose my father. I am only 18, and I am not taking this that well, although it is rather new news, I can't get his voice out of my head. Sorry if this might seem a bit selfish, But Me,my mother and my sister could use all the prayers we can get. (this still feels so surreal)

Thank you all
Bryn

Oh, God...I'm so sorry, Bryn. Prayers and hugs are on the way from Galveston.

Keep his voice safe in your head. I have video and audio of my mom (she just passed away a few years ago). However, my dad died when I was 5 and I have yet to find anything with his voice. I wish I remembered what he sounded like. :(

My father is having health problems as well; at a fairly young age. I'm sorry for your loss - may it make you a stronger person, and someday you can help console someone who has a similar occurence. Best of luck to you.

OMG....I am so, so sorry.....you have my prayers and my best wishes as well.... My father was diagnosed with leukemia when I was 16.... he is in remission now, but we had several very, very close calls with him. I remember trying to grasp the possibility then .... it just seems so impossible when you are that age....you feel like your parents are supposed to live forever. :( Please just hang in there - don't worry about "taking it well", there is no such thing - and lean on your family and friends for support. They need you as much as you need them right now....

I lost my dad 2 1/2 years ago to a sudden and unexpected heart attack. So I know what you are going through. I wish you and your family the best and I will be keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers.
