Not sure who on the board called for upper SE TX (because you can be darned sure I was watching to see who was...and waiting), except maybe a handful in the beginning. But even NHC and Accuweather had us in the 5-day cone early on. No need for crow for the cone, IMO.

I do not know of anyone who said the Upper TX Coast. The models always showed a NE Mexico/S TX landfall.

Now 99L could prove a different scenario for the Upper TX Coast should it more W and make it into the GOM. Right now it look more like a SE US system due to the ULL to the W pulling the convection Nward.

I think some speculated on HOW it could make it up here and what factors would have to fall into play for the change in path, but I never saw a true forecast for us (not to say there wasn't one, but I don't recall seeing it).

I didnt see that until after i posted, I stand corrected. It doesnt appear to be a TX storm to me, too early to even speculate. Models are meaningless on a system of little or no organization.

That poll said nothing about landfall ....it asked who was "out of the woods", not who was gonna get the full brunt of the storm. BIG difference...
