Has Dennis been retired yet?

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

The World Meteorlogical Organization will meet at the end of the season. All the countries affected by systems will be represented and then they vote to retire and then select a replacement name.

But it is pretty certain that Dennis will be retired. The US will make sure of it, and if they don't, then Cuba will. If neither of them do, then Jamaica probably will request it.

Emily most likely will be retired, too. Mexico has wanted storms that were weaker to be retired (Roxanne, '95).

For Dennis, he is still filling all the papers for retirement, and planning his future as a retired hurricane.

Since it seems we are on a mission to clean up the board and keep it flowing smoothly - Would it be feasible to have a "FAQ AND ANSWERS" sticky? This would be a good topic for that (How is a hurricane name retired?) and we could also add how to convernt KTS to MPH, and other general hurricane info for repeated questions that arise.

Just a thought.

He's also filling in the papers for Emily's retirement so that they can relax on the beach together in eternity.
