Emily looping again?
Headed west, no southwest, wait now south....Emily appears to be corkscrewing her way toward Mexico tonight. This is crazy.. Check out Brownsville radar, who know what direction Emily will be headed next......MGC

Eugenio has poofed out there in the EPAC. It doesn't have the strength to pull Emily westward. Emily has probably reached the weak side of the ridge over the Gulf so it isn't pushing. The stationary weak shortwave over Texas is enough in this scenario to serve as a boundary. Add hurricane's dislike for landfall and you have a bouncing storm in a weak steering environment.
This one has me beat. I guess eventually the tropical flow from the east will win and kick it inland...
