Emily has put on the brakes.

Well I know we've had tons of these movement posts. But I think this time she definitely has put the brakes on for the moment.

WNW on radar - the satellite images don update frequently enough to
pick it up right now. I'd say WNW between 5-10MPH

Seems kinda weird to me since the ridge building west is still pretty evident. Everything over FL is obviously moving ENE to WSW at a pretty good clip... I'm sure it's been posted somewhere, but what's to the west of Emily that would cause her to be moving this slow? Guess I need to look at a water vapor, huh??

...and wrapping those reds pretty tightly around the eye. But, still slow in her forward speed for sure.

that radar is really good and she is moving, albeit painfully slow. what has made her slow down so much? i thought they were pretty certain of the pattern bringing her wnw then w into mexico. or did i miss something? (which is quite possible!) also, she does look like she's wrapping up (packing her bags, so to speak) for her visit to mexico.

I'm nothing more than a amateur..

IMO, Emily is feeling some impact from the EPAC system along with a weakness in the High to her north..

If she is moving it's really hard to tell at the moment. But hey
I'll believe anything if you tell me enough times.

For some reason the radar that I'm presenting to everyone seems to be having a 20min gap sometimes. This may be giving an illusion that Emily is not moving.

She is definately moving, WNW, around 290 degrees, at 5-10 MPH.
grlevel3 has no radar gaps in it, fortunately.

Does the grlevel3 get its images from the WSR-88 radar at KBRO?
