It is working at the moment and has been all morning but I'm guessing it will get rather slow later on as it has done the last couple of afternoons.

Looks like she has made more of a westward turn per satellite and radar. If she were to move about due west from now until landfall Brownsville would barely get TS winds and probably only in a few strong squalls.

Try this one...

Has a little more than the regular NWS radar.

What I find interesting is it appears we are getting outer feeder bands here in Houston/Galveston earlier than Brownsville appears to be getting them. I guess that is a product of us being in the RFQ or dirty side. Also since Emily is so much more spread out than yesterday, I would expect the lower coast to get at least some winds to Hurrricane force in gusts in squalls with sustained of around 50 mph.

NHC discussion has stated that Emily is wobbling, but that the direction is still steady on WNW. No change in expected landfall area.

What is the eye doing?

Is it weakening and getting distorted, or is it contracting in an intensification phase?
