Pressure gradient seems pretty flat..5mb difference between the eye and eyewall.

Tho I guess thats to be expected in a higher pressure system?

the recon reports are showing almost no intensification tonight. The wind speed increase was just due to the storm moving over the water and the friction being less. The pressure has not been falling at all

couple of keys points from the latest vortex pass

1. With the 92kT, the storm technically could be upgraded to a cat 2 as that reduces to 83KT, which just puts it over

2. The WNW motion continues. What happened that distorted the sat motion was that the eye was at the very south edge of the large sat eye. Now that it has shrunk to a more normal size, it appears to be moving west, when it is in reality moving at 295-300 still
