The way it looks now Emily is not a threat to any of those areas. Some (NOT ALL)people feel that if it doesn't threaten their area then why bother posting. I know many will deny it but it is what is. I personally enjoy posting no matter where the storm is headed. I hope I didn't offend anyone.

I too follow all Atlantic systems whether they threaten S.E. Fla or not.
EPAC I really do nto pay any heed to at all.
Probably only true Hurricane Nuts follow all the storms like some of us do and the balance only come here when it is a threat or potential threat to them

Great sentiments, Sunny and I agree. I feel for anyone in the path of any storm and am here off and on all day and evening during hurricane season if only to read and observe. I get my break during the winter when I'll admit I don't follow the snowstorms as closely unless they are affecting my family and friends in the N.E.

I just finished getting everything back where it belonged...doing my "after hurricane" work. It's like we moved twice in less than two weeks!

Still reading here though. Need to know whether to call my sister-in-law in Bay City, TX or not. She's not quite up on following hurricanes.

Could it be that people are finding better forums to talk at? Without getting their post locked or people bashing a person for his/her opinion?

I think its a natural tendency to not be as interested in a hurricane unless there is going to be a clear direct hit on the US

No.But from what I have gathered, listening to the mets on tv,and the NHC forecast maps, you get the distinct impression that Emily is suppose to hit Northern Mexico
