...skid marks? yes jwayne.... Emily just noticed the big whole state of TX lined up with there big guns across the Yucatan and decided to put the brakes on. LOL...

Just kidding, no offense to anyone in TX, have many friends there and lived in San Antonio for 2 yrs. Just couldn't resist when reading the skid marks remark.

in all seriousness, the storm is slowing down big time. It's getting stretched out north/south in response to ull and I think a turn is imminent (or a stall) unless the ull pulls west.

No offense taken. It's helpful to remind people (and storms) every once in a while that it is hazardous to your health to mess with Texas.

kevin, and others... the models have tried to show a ridge in the gulf for the past couple of days....I really don't think its there or even close right now for that matter....Someone said that the flow extend all the way to the norther gulf...YES, it does....Look at the clouds from just off the north side of the yuc....they are all moving basically to the N or even NNW....thats VERY interesting...

i agree...hey, once this gets across land, once it emerges, right now the steering currents are to the NNW or NW...jmo...look at the SAT of the gulf...plus, that ULL will help that NW or NNW movement...imo

theres nothing to discuss, its not going to shoot it nnw or nw, the path is clear NHC addresses ridge weakness only bring it to extreme southern texas. SE TX is out of the woods...

It seems the ULL has slowed the forward progress of Emily quite a bit.

You mean the upper texas coast right? SE Texas (Brownsville to Corpus) is definitely NOT out of the woods.
