In Houston under REALLY, REALLY dark skies, and that eerie calm before the storm...

Hot and humid! Been out in it all day, and I'm pooped! Doesn't look like we'll get a storm this afternoon to break the heat.

Too hot today with a max of 28.8C. An hour ago the temp was down to 24.5C and with the sun just setting it can only decrease (I hope).

Sunny, pleasant, but cool for this time of year.

No sun here. It's been in the mid 70's, and it has rained off and on all day...and for the last couple days.

HOT, HUMID, YUCK

It did storm a little at lunch (maybe since then too but I havent been back outside yet) but it did NOTHING to cool things off. If anything, it made it more oppressive than ever!

More hot (91F), humid and "sticky" to report, with T-storms and intermittent showers expected every day through next Saturday. :larrow:

Sticky and slightly menacing. A good 70% chance of rain tonight, I believe.

It's a typical SoFla July evening: 84 (94 THI), 74% humidity, hazy near-sunset skies. I'm just back from dinner at the local Carraba's (Italian) Restaurant with my husband, daughter, and son-in-law -- with a stop at the local Ice Cream Club for vanilla-raspberry-chocolate chip low-carb ice cream -- and I'm still semi- "floating" on the red wine from dinner! :P

Currently 13.9C, after reaching 23.2C earlier. Good that it isn't as warm as it has been lately. :P

Very hot for the upper Midwest (but not record or really out of the ordinary by any means). Made it up to 94 today - 98 should work for tomorrow. This heat is going to make for a rapidly worsening drought, especially since our only chance of rain in the next week is Monday (and it's teensy). Could go over 100 degrees by next weekend, which hasn't happened here since 1995!

We're probably going to start hearing about some major energy problems (black/brown-outs and water shortages too) soon - also won't be surprised if we start hearing about elderly folks dying in the larger cities of the Midwest and Northeast. :(

Had a low temperature overnight of 88. Stayed at 100 well past 10 pm last night. Clear skies this morning will give way to a few clouds by later afternoon and a chance for dust storm by this evening. Lightning was visible about 20 miles north in the evening last night, but as expected, no rain made it to the valley floor.

Anticipating about 112-116 the next three days for afternoon highs.

Woke up to 76 degree weather this morning, and a partly, sometimes mostly cloudy sky. Hoping for a break in the rain today so I can get some outdoor chores done!
