Slow dial up! I really need to get fast dsl. A little wobble but it appears to be going wnw. But I always thought a little wobble in major hurricanes was common. Especially when they are going through a strengthening process. Of course I could be wrong too!

Exactly. She's going West, or a hair north of it.

I hate to burst peoples bubble, but if you look at the VIS loop Emily was moving west for a while. However, the last few loops cleary show NW. Is it a jog? I don't know.

No my WNW had 14.7N and 72.4 - 72.6W, not 72.8

1 to 1 = nw
1 to 2 = wnw
1 to 4 = wwnw

.2 to .8 was the advisory thats wwnw....

If she is moving due west and, like Derek said, has been deviating from the forecast track for 12+ hours, then please tell me why she is in very good alignment with the forecast track positions overlayed on the vis loop...????

I'm sorry, call me what you will, but due west makes absolutely no sense to me....

thats why they said 280, they didnt say due west 270, if it were moving on the 11AM track why did it move to the south, plot both forcasts and you can see the 4pm is not an extension of 11:00. It has shifted slightly, ever so slightly west.
