I vote Cat 2, but nothing would surprise me after Dennis.

EDIT: Solar radiation? How can I lose?!

With all the warm water and light shear ahead of it, I voted for CAT 4.
EDIT: Oops... I just checked the shear tendency map and it's somewhat stronger than I thought! (I still think that TD 5 will eventually reach CAT 4, though.)

If she passes over Hispaniola I wouldn't expect too much, though I'm expecting a further south track.

look at this...

the extended part of the forecast advisory for TD 5:
OUTLOOK VALID 15/0600Z 17.0N 66.0W
MAX WIND 70 KT...GUSTS 85 KT.

OUTLOOK VALID 16/0600Z 19.5N 71.0W...INLAND
MAX WIND 70 KT...GUSTS 85 KT.

and the extended part of the 2nd forecast advisory from TD 4 (future Dennis):
OUTLOOK VALID 09/0600Z 23.0N 82.0W
MAX WIND 70 KT...GUSTS 85 KT.

OUTLOOK VALID 10/0600Z 25.0N 84.0W
MAX WIND 70 KT...GUSTS 85 KT.

not much of a difference in the intensity forecast there

Since several models are pointing it in this general vicinity, I voted for Cat. 2 because that's all I'd want heading this way.

Seeing as how Dennis made a Strong C4, I'll raise it one and say C5 for the Big E.

I think she will either be a Tropical Storm or possibly a Category 1.

Well, my vote was for CAT 4, so she'd better not get any stronger! :) (Though the previous snickers at the CAT 5 votes may require some crow-eating :))

Scorpion.... crow-ka-bobs are yummy. If they make you eat crow... pick those! *teases gently* Take it from someone who has had more then a few servings of crow! *huggers*
