Depotoo's surgery - Update

#1 Postby sunny » Wed Jul 06, 2005 6:22 pm

I was going to wait til closer to Cindy's surgery, but with all of the tropical activity, I'm going to go ahead and post this now.

Cindy will have her surgery on July 13th. The doctor is going to remove the disc from her back. Please pray the surgery will be successful and provide our friend relief from her pain.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

the other Cindy!

The great thing about S2k is that Cindy's of all ages and shapes and sizes are welcome...and each can genuinely care about the other.

I have a very busy Wednesday on the 13th...so I will be looking for an update the day after.

Thanks for your care and concern, and yes I will send my prayers from this blast furnace called Scottsdale on her behalf. 109 right now, but it is never too hot to care about friends.

Thanks, Sunny Cindy, for keeping us all informed. I've been keeping Cindy on my prayer list and will particularly focus positive thoughts on her surgery date.

So many prayers needed...all of those who asked are being lifted up to His Altar even now as I type this...and may Depotoo/Cindy be granted peace and healing as we trust in Him, Who knows all of our ills and addresses them according to His Will...and our faith. :larrow:

I talked to Cindy today. Her surgery was yesterday and the disc was removed from her back. So now the recovery begins. Hopefully it will not be long and Cindy will be back posting with us and giving the guys a run for their money!!!

Wonderful to hear and wishing you a smooth and speedy recovery, depotoo Cindy!!

Also, sunny Cindy will be sure to keep up the gender wars topics but is looking forward to...as she alluded to...your resumption in aiding her on those topics!

If nothing else, it feels SO good to have the surgery over with. I'm sure she will be back as soon as she can.

Good friends and laughter can heal just about anything faster.

Steve - you said what I was going to post. At least this surgery is behind Cindy now and she can begin the healing process. Sunny/Cindy - if you talk with Cindy, please tell her I healed very well after my surgeries, only after I walked a lot. Doctor's orders, slow walking at first, picking up the pace and distance as time went on. If someone had told me years ago simple walking after major surgery, would be the very best thing to feel better again, I would have said you are crazy! Rest is the best thing! Wrong!!!! Now she can't be doing heavy duty cleaning, yardwork, cleaning out closets, etc. but simple walking in her neighborhood is what I recommend. She'll thank me in the end, much the same way I thanked my husband before me (who pestered me something awful to "get off that couch or out of that bed!").

Wish her well for me, tell her she's missed Cindy.
