2nd Major of the Season

Who would believe we are talking about our second major of the season by the middle of July? 5 storms and two them cat 3 or better hurricanes. Unbelievable to say the least.

Have there been any studies trying to correlate increased cyclonic activity with volcanic activity? (Probably a stupid question but I am a nurse, not a geologist,etc.) Maybe we are really heating up and will see more and more things like this, but I sure hope not!!

And its only the middle of July. How strange this season is. I dont wanna be around come August/September.

Actually, increased volcanic activity would lower temperatures because of the increased particulate matter ejected into the atmosphere. I don't think you can draw a link between seismic events and tropical cyclones. By heating up I assume your wondering if global warming increases cyclone activity? The answer is no but you can't convince those that believe it despite the best tropical cyclone experts in the world saying no way.
