Bye Bye Yucatan.....

Looks like Emily has changed her mind. More likely now, I would say, that she will more closely follow the approximate path of Dennis -- perhaps slightly south of that. The reformation of her center has her in a whole different world.

The shift was only by a few miles... the reason the probability got higher is because the forecast is more confident and it's getting inside the 72-hour window(which is what the map is made for anyway, not 120-hour).

Recon is fixing Emily at 14 N 70 W for its second flight Thursday and that puts her on a beeline for Jamaica.

Yep... not looking good for Jamaica. Could be like Ivan where the northern eyewall moves ashore on the south coast.

The island is not exactly a huge target.
Luckily, they seem to dodge the brunt of most storms.
Dennis was forecast to hit directly and the island got the weaker West side.
Let's hope their luck continues!

I do think someone in the GOM will have to contend with Emily, I don't see her charging into Mexico.
