Note that on many occasions the JB and Accuweather forecasts don't match, in many cases the deviations are large.

I think she's dangerously close to having a CDO, what an explosion this afternoon!

Now if it persists........

The answer to the topic is "yes" Emily has pulled up.

That last burst put an end to any speculation of weakening.

I finally figured what was causing the linear wave look. The High above Emily is so strong that it compressed the structure. That is why it looks like the center is accelerating out in front. That isn't the center, it's the west side of the LLC zipping around because of its compressed elongation. The reason it is shooting out like that is because the storm is bursting stronger and the LLC band needs to get back around quickly.

It is starting to lift a little. Grenada should get a good taste...

Joe B. DOES NOT have it going to New Orleans.

His latest post says it MAY be a US, specifically TX threat.

Another example of someone posting something innacurate and then next thing you know everyone says "Joe B said this".........grrrrrr.........

290 pretty much is west-northwest as 270 is due west and 315 is northwest

On the Accuweather Pro Site, his PM column here is a snippet: "There are things about Emily that have me worried it could hit the United States, specifically Texas, besides the modelling which is shifting further north."

It's the Accuweather Pro Site - it is a pay site. Here is the generic URL:

yup, jschlitz is totally accurate. JB has said nothing about New Orleans ... at least as far as Emily is concerned.
