Well, Im back finally...
Good to be back I guess...I stayed in Downtown Pensacola during the storm. We did pretty well up there, only limbs and sheet metal off the building. Same thing cant be said for my neighborhood in Gulf Breeze. I live between Gulf Breeze and Navarre basically, so the eye went directly over my house. Wind damage is much worse then Ivans...some houses and apartments had walls and roofs blown in. My house was fine, only lost 2 pine trees. Neighbor has a pine through his roof, and another neighbor has alot of exposed roof decking. My house survived and we just got power back here, but for some reason some people on my street still dont. My sheds toast, parts of it are wrapped around my neighbors tree. It could of been worse, luckily, it hit fast like Charley, but obviously not as strong. Anyways, I think Im done with the storms this year...I could care less about hearing GOM and hurricane used in the same sentence

You live right in the same area one of our mods does then. She still isn't back in her house since Ivan. She lives on Bay St. I know your area well. My parents lived in Hickory Shores on the bay and were members of the Midway Fire Dept. Glad you and your property came out in pretty good shape.

Yep, Im about 3 blocks from Bay St. That area looked like a bomb went off after Ivan. In this general area, the tree damage is alot worse then Ivan, and there is more stuctural damage to houses then with Ivan. Like I said, this storm was Charley like, but not as intense. The good thing is its very isolated, from about my area east to Navarre is where the worst damage is. Wish I could post up pics to show ya'll, so I can back up my claims.
