I'll make this pledge to a fellow Gator fan. If we win the SEC Championship this season, I'll donate an additional $250.00 to Storm2k. Everyone here is anxious to see what the new guy can do.

sounds good and $500 if they don't.

WOW! Jlauderdal has pledged $500 if the gators don't win the SEC Championship. Anyone willing to top that?

nice try..i was pledging on joseph's behalf. I am donating 50 tonight via paypal..another 200 if University of Wisconsin-Madison wins the Big Ten and 250 more if they win the national championship. So all you gator fans ante up.

Pledge

#24 Postby FloridaDiver » Mon Jul 11, 2005 10:04 pm

I'm a University of Miami graduate and a Canes fan somewhat so I'm not going to make a pledge based on this years college football championship, but since everyone's is in a "pledging" mood (great for the S2K site as long as someone is keeping track of said pledges?) here is one based on the "other" football league.

Dolphins, a very pathetic year in 2004. But this year; can the first year coach lite a fire under these players? I say yes, and I'll back it up with cash! I pledge $100.00 if the Dolphins are over .500 by mid season.

Go Fish! (and the same for any storms headed to South Florida...)

How about "charging" these people I disagree with if their forecast is off by more than 100 miles or something? or $1 a mile haha

seeing as I have a 5 figure deductible for my wind insurance i pledge 5k if i dont get hit..just kidding s2k but i did ante up my 50 last night and will make good on my previous pledge about my alma mater. no sign of those cheap noles fans or any other big ten people out there...lets go this site doesn't run for free. look at this way, think about how many times you have hit the site then the number of refreshes and your cost per click is really really low.

Well, I made my pledge to one of the moderators, so I'm sure my post made it to a list somewhere with the heading "Things to follow up on." :D

We also take donations by snail mail. As soon as I get the address to send it too it can be posted or sent privately to those desiring such.

And this 'Noles fan is sending in his money as soon as he gets that addy. It will take care of one month of operation.

As stated above, every little bit helps. Just $5 dollars a couple of times a year out of the regular posters would make a huge dent in the costs of keeping us the great place we continue to strive to be!!

I love all the challenges going on here. I donated this past weekend and I'll throw down another $100 of my hard earned money if the New Orleans Saints make it to the Super Bowl.... now what guys?

But seriously... I challenge all the locals... Lafayette, Louisiana you guys have always pulled through when it comes to donating. New Orleans... we have quite a few of you guys on board as well as all points south and north and in between. Let's show storm2k where the support is. BTW... paypal is really easy to set up and it helps all to have all over the net.

I gotta go OT for just a sec and ask:

Do people really like that new Gator head mascot logo better than the full image of Albert? I really don't like it much at all. I prefer to find anything with Albert on Ebay if I'm going to get Gator shirts or stuff. I have a big UF flag also...with Albert! Was there any kind of uproar over there when they changed it?

Any thoughts of setting up an Amazon.com affiliate link? I do a decent amount of shopping there already (and there are probably others here who do as well) and it would be great to know a percentage of what I buy there was getting kicked back to help support storm2k.
