Calling all geeks: NASA's GOES-N Mission Quiz

#1 Postby CentralFlGal » Mon Jul 11, 2005 8:36 pm

http://www.nasa.gov/externalflash/MissionPlanner/MissionPlanner.html

There are two missions to choose from: STS-114 and GOES-N.

I got 9 out of 15 or 16 right - my GOES-N mission was a no-go

I know quite a few people here will ace it the first go around (and you get a certificate to print out and hang on your fridge, too!)

I can't get it to let me select a mission :( I get the astronaut telling me the story, it loads 100%, and that's it

The only thing I can think of that may be causing that is your version of Macromedia Flashplayer.

I have this one (sans that Yahoo thingiemabobber):

It says I already have that one, so that's not it....hmmm....even when I type in the addy from your link, I get a "web site not responding" message. Such a tease!! LOL Can you maybe direct me where to find it on the nasa site?

Sure! It's at http://www.nasa.gov/returntoflight/main/index.html on the right hand side under the launch countdown.

Good luck! You still have the chance of being the first here with a handy dandy certificate!

Thanks :) I found it, went there, and it still doesn't come up with any mission for me to select, so who knows  Oh well, at least I'll be there Wed. 5-6 miles away

We'll be there too (on Cocoa Beach). I can't wait! ::bouncing excitedly::

Still hunting for backroads on Mapquest. I tried Google Maps, but I'm not crazy about how it represents specific roads. The satellite overlay is pretty neat though.

We have to be at KSC by 8:30am Wed., so I'm hoping traffic isn't as bad that early in the morning.

I got a Go! No wrong answers and a certificate that says I'm a NASA senior mission Planner.
