I'll worry about the GOM after I figure out whether it's going around FL, or through FL

... eh, we don't get hurricanes in Texas any more. They all go to Florida.

That doesn't seem all that likely, according to models and forecast tracks... But I suppose it could happen.

Could you post some GOOD news now? Like, "but it's expected to recurve out to sea, after gaining cat 5 strength to appease the tropical freaks, harming nobody in its path"

Maybe they meant, Southeastern Gulf. Another North Gulf/ FLA threat.

Two reasons this one needs to go toTexas:
1. Texas is in drought conditions
2.Florida needs a break

With a ridge over the northern gulf and the high sitting right over Pensacola....good for them.

If it's a little ol TS, I'd agree with you. But we don't need a major cane to ease the drought. I'll take the drought and a sprinkler any day over damage to my house and neighborhood.

Now you did it! TX was invisible to hurricanes until you made that statement.

It's just too far out. If the High is stronger, maybe a south TX/Mexico storm. If weaker, a possible upper TX/ Louisiana storm. I would hate to see the MS/AL/FL area get hit again.
