Can anyone tell me?

#1 Postby JenyEliza » Mon Jul 11, 2005 8:19 am

How much more rain from Dennis in the Atlanta area (NW suburbs)?

My house and my nerves can't take this...and my boss is not very happy that I am not at work, but home dealing with the flooding. :grr:

At this point I am exhausted and can't tell by what I'm looking at, how much more fun we're going to have today.

Help! (and thanks).

Fox just showed the flooding in Atlanta and said it has received in some areas over 5 inches of rain in 18 hours. Sorry, but they didn't mention how much more you are likely to get.

That's on top of the 5" last week from Cindy. The ground here is saturated. There's just nowhere for all the water to go.

I'm just trying to figure out if more intense rainbands are coming today, or if it will be safe to leave my house (ie, not be here to protect/mitigate damage if the rain gets bad again) and go to work later.

I know my boss would appreciate my gracing the office with my presence at some point today. ;)

Thanks for the response, though!!

Thanks Chad. From that map, it doesn't look like we'll be dealing with much more.

I'm just trying to figure out if we've got anymore intense rainbands on the way....or if things are going to settle down enough that I can go to work later.

If we've got more intense rain on the way, I need to stay here and try to mitigate further damage.

What to do? :?:
