Let me give a big hand to the NHC. These guys have really done a great job with forecasting, especially in the last 2 hurricane seasons. They called Dennis to this very spot 5 days ago...excellent job! Thanks to the NHC. Keep up the good work you do for us all!

Agreed Their 5day Track Has Been from Mobile to P'cola for DAYS! Thats a Tight Area to Commit to! Awesome Forecasting! And as well to Many of the Storm2k team!

They did an utterly amazing job. They were within 20 miles of predicted landfall point. Pensacola was their original landfall estimate, and the actual was Escambia Bay--Opal Beach. Kudos!!

True they are great at forecasting movement, but they still have a ways to go to get a handle on intensity, and in my opinion, that is every bit as imortant. Otherwise, yes kudos to the NHC!

Yes, it seems to me this is the most consistent and accurate forecast they've given us in my recent memory. Here's to them!

. BTW, I guess a friend of mine is in that pic! I just want to check if the guy made kneel in the first line (3rd from right to left, blue shirt, yellow rubber band on the right hand) is an old friend named Hilario :?:

. I used to interview him a lot when he worked for the NWS in San Juan. We lost contact but, hey, I'm very proud of him!
