another interesting tidbit - Frances and Jeanne last year make landfall within 10-15 miles of one another. And here we are again 10 months later watching Dennis appear to be making landfall within 10-15 miles of where Ivan went in. What are the odds?

Actually, Frances and Jeanne went in two miles apart. They were so close that the Palm Beach Post printed the tracks on a street-level map.

Gulf Breeze is likely to do alot worse with Dennis (not counting intensity) because the barrier island (Santa Rosa Island) has no berm, it is basicaly flat courtesy of Ivan. My brother lives there and said the city of Gulf Breeze will be turning off the water to try to minimize the damage to the water system they had with Ivan.
