PRELIMINARY LOCAL STORM REPORT
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE CHARLESTON, SC
659 PM EDT WED MAY 7 2003

0658 PM JEDBURG SC TORNADO
05/06/03 DORCHESTER
NWS DAMAGE TEAM DETERMINED THAT AN F1 TORNADO TOUCHED DOWN NEAR THE JEDBURG AREA. NUMEROUS TREE TOPS WERE TWISTED AND SHEARED OFF AND MINOR PROPERTY DAMAGE OCCURRED AT CLEMSON TERRACE SUBDIVISION. PIECE OF ROOF WAS TORN OFF AT A NEARBY INDUSTRIAL PLANT AND 4000 POUND BALES OF INDUSTRIAL WIRE WERE DISPLACED BY THE WINDS.
