Knowing myself what the preps are to get ready for a storm, if you can take the time please tell us all what you are going through, your hopes, emotions, and expectations of what your life may be when you get back from being asked to leave your home.

A lot of worrying..... not for me as much as my parents and inlaws who look to be in the NE quadrant of the storm (Baldwin Co Alabama). I spent a week helping them clean up from Ivan and this looks to be worse. We're forecasted to see hurricane force gusts here so I might have some damage to tend to before getting over there.

Sitting in front of my computer eating sunflower seeds with the TV on The Weather Channel (for now), thinking that I'll probably go to bed in the next 15 minutes.

Thinking how lucky we are in Broward county again, we just got brushed from last years events, and got a fairly good brush from Andrew, but Broward (Ft. Lauderdale) has been extremely lucky......I know its only a matter of time though.......

Hope everyone in the path of Dennis is prepared, but not in panic. Be smart and safe, good luck.

I'm just getting back on the computer. I've been watching CNN for 2 hours straight in the living room. I can't get enough of all of this. Just amazed at the 145 mph winds. I'm thankful that this storm isn't knocking on our door, but I'm worried about the friends I made in Perdido Key, FL and Gulf Shores, AL just a few weeks ago. I'm scared for them. I'm just hoping that Dennis hits the least populated area possible. I'm scared and sad, because I know how much they've been through and it's happening again. Something tells me to keep watching, maybe it fill die down to a Cat 3? I don't know... I just keep watching and plotting. My prayers are to all on the Gulf Coast tonight.

I've got the Weather Channel on, watching the radar loops, and grilling something that'll get me through tomorrow. Got a beer in hand. Just turned the air conditioner down to 50 degrees and planning on enjoying the next 15 hours, because the next 2+ weeks will be total crap.

Maybe I can sleep through it.

I feel for you. Id be doing the same thing. If this thing keeps up im afraid alabama will have one less city. I realy feel bad. I was extremely emotional last year about charley stricking 30 miles south of me i felt so bad like as if it was suppose to be here instead where we were warned well in advance. Good luck to you!

I think that the "Voodoo" here is like the military jet of the same name - with Dennis rolling-in to drop his payload! Your defiance is admirable, though, and I am reminded of that old cartoon "Last Act of Defiance" where the mouse is flipping-off the eagle as it swoops down. Well, hang in there and party-on, dudes!

Dennis can do some Pete Townsend style "power-chords" on that 'Rock guitar sign! - Hey, if you are USAF, then enjoy the ride. It seems like "just a job" at times, but later you will realize that it is special. My own service was too short, and I will always regret it. Be safe! 8-)
