You got that right dhweather, the officials were slack and if anyone loses their life on the MS Gulf Coast I bet some heads will roll.

I hear 'ya, but I'm wondering what the surge will be in Biloxi/Gulfport with a Dennis landfalling on Dauphin Island. If the surge can stay under eight feet or so, there's a greater likelyhood of survival. But, if the surge is high, you are absolutely right!!

BTW goodbye casinos = goodbye coastal economy....

Yep about the economy, but you know, those casinos should have never been built where they are. Nor should they have been allowed to become stationery. If that storm hits there and the economy is ruined, there is no one to blame but the governing body of Harrison and Hancock counties.

We can blame who we want, but - if this scenario pans out - my mortgage company is gonna come knockin' soon... :(
